Following on from Independents Day on July the 4th there is another local shopping initiative for Saturday December the 7th. Shop Local on Sat Dec 7th.
It is a day where shoppers can support their local business buy buying local, and for local businesses to come up with some promotions.
I for one try to get up on the Grove on a Saturday morning and just buy bits from many of the shops there: a newspaper here, the veg from the grocers, meat from the butchers, bread the deli or bakers, Bloody Mary from you know where and so on. I even used the pet shop the other day.
