Southbourne is blessed with having great access to the beach and facilities. From the fantastic Hengistbury Head area through to Boscombe Pier, there is something for everyone.
It is a lot less busier than the beach in town plus you have the advantage of having a couple of pubs on the cliff top and the shops on the high street if you need supplies for the family. Free parking as well, on the cliff top and side streets.
The locals probably don’t want me to tell you, but visitors come to us, it’s easier and makes more sense than fighting your way to the centre of town.
Did you know that Southbourne had a pier as well? Well according to Wikipedia it had one back in 1888 till 1901. You can see it here: Old photos of Southbourne Pier
