I recognise that lately we may have only been mentioning all the new places around but it is also important to celebrate the old, no pun intended.
Under the picturesque shadow of the water tower lies Southbourne Bowls Club. At over 100 years old, this is a little piece of history on our doorstep. There is a nice little park there as well.
This web site should rightly be for all the community and for all ages. Not to say bowls is the preserve of the old at all and all clubs need new members, so if anyone is interested, they say new bowlers are welcome and free coaching is available.
